Office recycling and food waste collections
Office recycling collections keep paper, cardboard and packaging out of your general waste, freeing up bin space and making it easier to stay compliant.
Your paper, card, plastic bottles, cans and glass are collected as recycling, with non-recyclable waste collected separately.
Office food waste collection gives your staff kitchen its own sealed bin for lunch leftovers, tea bags and coffee grounds, keeping smells down and shared spaces pleasant. Collections are timed to match how quickly your kitchen bins fill, so food waste is taken away before it becomes a problem.
Our commercial waste disposal bins come in a range of sizes to fit kitchens, print rooms and breakout areas.
With clear labels on every bin, your staff know exactly what goes where, and your recycling stays clean enough to be recycled.

Explore our commercial bins for offices
Our commercial bins for offices come in a range of sizes to suit everything from small serviced offices and studios to large headquarters and multi-floor buildings.
Office waste collection planned around your business
An office waste collection planned around your business means your bins are emptied right when you need them to be.
A fully occupied office may need recycling and general waste collected every week. A hybrid office with quieter days may need fewer collections, with room to add more as attendance rises.
Your collection plan is based on how many people use the office, how quickly your bins fill and where containers can safely sit. Collections fit around building access and your quieter hours.
If you manage several sites, you can bring them onto one plan with one supplier, while each building keeps the setup it needs.

What are the recycling rules for offices?
Offices in England must separate dry recycling, food waste and general waste under Simpler Recycling rules, and follow a legal duty of care for all the waste they produce.
The rules have applied to workplaces with 10 or more full-time-equivalent employees since 31 March 2025. Workplaces with fewer than 10 full-time-equivalent employees must comply by 31 March 2027.
How you split your dry recycling, including whether paper and card go in their own bin, depends on your waste collector. Your bins are set up to match our collections, so your staff separate waste the way the rules require.
Your duty of care means storing waste securely, stopping it escaping and passing it only to an authorised waste carrier.
Every collection comes with a waste transfer note, giving you a clear record of where your waste went. You must keep these for at least two years. They’re also ready to show landlords, auditors and procurement teams whenever they ask.

Office waste collection FAQs
What types of waste do offices produce?
Offices mainly produce paper, cardboard, plastic packaging, drinks cans, glass, food waste and general waste. Paper and delivery packaging often make up a large share of the volume. Offices also generate confidential documents, electrical equipment, batteries and old furniture, which cannot go in general waste and need separate, compliant disposal routes.
How often should office waste be collected?
Most offices need waste collected weekly or fortnightly, depending on headcount, how often staff are on site and how much bin storage is available. Food waste usually needs more frequent collection than dry recycling to prevent smells. Hybrid offices with lower attendance can often reduce collections during quieter weeks.
How do you dispose of old office electricals and confidential documents?
Old office electricals, batteries and confidential documents must be kept out of general waste and disposed of through specialist routes. Electrical equipment and batteries need a licensed recycling route, while confidential documents should be securely shredded and backed by a certificate of destruction for your records
How much does office waste collection cost?
Office waste collection in the UK typically costs around £10–£35 per bin collection, depending on bin size, waste type and collection frequency. Small offices using one or two wheelie bins often pay roughly £50–£150 per month. Recycling collections are usually cheaper than general waste because recyclable materials avoid landfill tax.
