Customer Account Manager (Waste)
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and experienced Customer Account Manager with a passion for customer service and stakeholder management to join our team.
The role
- build and maintain sustainable relationships with a portfolio of customers in order to deliver profitable growth for the company
- identify and secure new service opportunities with new and existing customers
- support strategic sales initiatives
- ensure sales levels are maintained according to business requirements and capacity
- gain an excellent knowledge of the full range of products and services we provide, in order to confidently promote the business and advise existing and prospective customers
- visit existing customers and arrange new sales appointments (1 day on the road per week)
What you need
- proven experience of stakeholder management/networking to achieve results
- experience of working to targets and deadlines
- an understanding of, or experience working within, the waste management industry would be an advantage; however not essential, as full training will be provided
- excellent communication/interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and on own initiative is key
- good negotiation and influencing skills
- ability to work both proactively and reactively in the role, according to fluctuating business requirements is vital
