HGV Class 1 Driver (Tramper)
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our growing team. If you are self-motivated and committed to high standards of service, we are keen to hear from you.                 Â
The role
- driving our Class 1 vehicles in a safe and professional manner
- tramping out 4 nights per week (Mon-Thu), travelling across our territory as required
- collecting and distributing waste and waste products across our areas of operation
- liaising and communicating effectively with customers, members of the public and our team at J. Dickinson’s
- completing and recording pre-use and after-use checks on the vehicle
- representing the company in an appropriate and professional manner at all times
What you need
- valid Class 1 category driving licence
- proven working experience as an HGV driver, with a good driving record and no traffic violations
- previous experience working as a HGV driver in the waste industry would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided if you do not have this
- understanding of transport compliance and the Working Time Directive
- good written and verbal communication skills
- able to work proactively, independently and on own initiative
