Financial Controller
Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a fast-paced role where you can influence strategic decisions and drive performance? We are looking for a senior, hands-on financial controller to lead our finance function, provide insight to drive operational performance and ensure strong financial governance across all areas of the business.
The role
- overall responsibility for all finance functions and for managing the day to day operation of the Finance department
- responsible for optimising the Company’s financial and strategic position by collaborating to drive sustainable business performance
- formulate long-term strategic plans for the Company to support future growth and sustainability
- ensure the Company’s financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities, as well as future growth
- monitor and interpret cash flows and use analytical accounting to predict future trends
- develop financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk
- produce timely and accurate financial and management accounts, ensuring compliance with statutory authority and audit requirements
What you need
- fully qualified ACCA/CIMA, or equivalent
- significant experience in a financial leadership role
- good understanding of how operations and finance connect and collaborate to drive performance
- experience leading financial planning and budgeting processes
- financial experience within the recycling, waste, or comparable plant industries
- strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness
- previous experience successfully leading and managing a team
- adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team
- expert knowledge of financial and accounting procedures and legislation
- ability to manage complexity with confidence

The package
- Salary from £55k per annum DOE, plus car allowance and discretionary annual bonus
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
