Quite unbelievably it’s February Half Term already. It may feel like we’ve only just put away the Christmas decorations but, here we are! If you’ve taken time off to look after the kids this half term, you’ll now find yourself with the task of keeping them entertained! Here are a few ideas of places to go and things to do without heading too far:
Jump Xtreme trampoline park – they’re springing up everywhere! If you want to tire the kids our & enjoy a coffee at the same time, try Bolton’s Jump Xtreme
Smithills Open Farm – a classic spot to take the kids in Bolton. If your little one’s love animals, this is the place to head! Check the feeding times on their website beforehand if you really want to engage with nature!
Chill Factore – Ok, it’s slightly farther afield but, if you have dare devils on your hands the Chill Factore offers the thrills they’re looking for, from skiing and snowboarding lessons to messing about on the luge (as a family if you’re up for it!)
On Safari – Located just 5 minutes from Middlebrook, On Safari is a great play centre for those of you with little ones. Why not exhaust them with soft play (and have a go on their amazing slide yourself) then head over to Middlebrook for a bite to eat?
Haigh Hall – The recently updated park (which now includes mini golf and aerial rope climbing) has something for everyone. Weather permitting you can spend a good couple of hours watching the kids pay, there’s also an onsite café for some refreshments
If your half term plans include grabbing some time for yourself (good luck with that) perhaps to do a spot of DIY or clear out the garage. J Dickinson & sons Ltd recently launched their waste cashback scheme. The idea being, if you hire a skip and sort the waste on site yourself (instead of it being sorted back at their recycling facility) you can get cashback on your skip hire! *
If you’re looking for cheap skip hire this half term visit their website at www.jdickinson.co.uk or call their dedicated team on 01204 696446.
